Cranberries by the Cape 9/23/22

Join Foxy Travel for Cranberries by the Cape on Friday, September 23rd, 2022!

The day begins at the world’s largest cranberry grower, the A.D. Makepeace Company in Wareham, MA. There a cranberry growing specialist will board our coach and bring us to a working cranberry bog farm. Learn about the cranberry-growing and harvesting processes, whilst gaining insight into what being a cranberry farmer entails. After the 1.5 hour tour, we will return to Makepeace Farms for a cranberry-themed boxed lunch and a chance to shop at their farmstand gift shop. Afterwards, we will board the bus and head to Plymouth, MA to enjoy approx 2 hours on own. Visit Plymouth Rock, stroll the historic district, poke around at the cute shops or just get some vitamin sea! Trip runs rain or shine. The bus ride to the bog is slightly bumpy, but safe. There is a moderate amount of walking. The bog tour area is sandy, grassy and can be wet & muddy. Please dress accordingly.

THANKSGIVING WRAP – Our own oven roasted turkey, whole berry cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo on a white tortilla wrap

CRANBERRY WALNUT CHICKEN SALAD WRAP – Our own roasted chicken breast mixed with sweetened dried cranberries, walnuts, mayo and seasoning with lettuce on a white tortilla wrap

OVEN ROASTED TURKEY WRAP – Our oven roasted turkey breast, american cheese, lettuce and tomato with cranberry mustard on a white tortilla wrap

HARVEST SALAD – Mixed greens topped with our roasted chicken breast, fresh sliced apples, sweetened dried cranberries, croutons and honey dijon dressing.

CRAN-MANGO SALAD – Mixed greens topped with our roasted chicken breast, sweetened dried cranberries, crumbled feta cheese, croutons and mango dressing

Beverages: Cranberry Juice, Iced Tea, Unsweetened Iced Tea, Bottled Water, Cola, Diet Cola

7:15 am Check in at Foxy Travel, 7:30 am Depart 

8:00 am Check in at Lincoln Mall Park & Ride, 8:15 am Depart (622 George Washington Highway)

5:30 pm Approx Return
