The day will begin with a one-hour guided bus tour that delves into the intriguing history of the Quabbin Reservoir’s inception during the Depression Era. Learn how it has become a pristine, protected area for wildlife and recreation, in addition to being Boston’s water supply. 

After the tour, we will be greeted by the Innkeepers at the Salem Cross Inn as they welcome us to their 1700’s colonial style feast. Sit back and enjoy the antique charm as your prime rib is roasted over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs on the only known authentic Roasting Jack still operating in America. On our way home, we will make a quick stop at Breezelands Orchards’ farmstand to shop locally grown produce, baked goods and specialty items.
