The Newport Flower Show 6/22/19

Join Foxy Travel for a day of spectacular sights in Newport, Rhode Island on Saturday, June 22nd!

We will start our day at The Newport Flower Show located on the sweeping oceanfront lawn and the elegant reception rooms of Rosecliff Mansion. Beautiful judged flower arrangements are located throughout the 1st floor, a horticulture tent brimming with New England’s most beautiful plants and flowers is on the grand lawn, a spectacular marketplace, music, outdoor café style seating, garden workshops and lectures promise to entertain and inspire attendees! We will spend approximately 2.5 hours at the flower show before departing to downtown Newport for 2 hours of lunch and shopping on own. We will end the day with 1.5 hours spent at The Green Animals Topiary Garden. There are more than 80 pieces of topiary throughout the gardens including animals and birds, geometric figures and ornamental designs. ‘Green Animals’ is the oldest and most northern topiary garden in the United States. Please note – comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended, as there is a moderate amount of walking in this trip. Additionally, the Flower show is held rain or shine.
