Join Foxy Travel on Saturday, October 10th aboard our annual Turkey Train!
Start the day at Longview Country Store for a quick shopping stop of artisan wares and unique gifts. Then the main event, the Turkey Train! We will board the Granite State Scenic Railway in Meredith, NH for a scenic train ride alongside Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoy a catered turkey feast, brought to you by the folks from Hart’s Turkey Farm. The feast is always amazing & served plated with juicy turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, squash, stuffing, dessert and 1 non-alcoholic drink. Sorry, there are no meal substitutions! Tables on the train hold 4 Foxy Travel guests each. The Turkey Train is BYOB non-alcoholic beverages only! Feel free to bring a bottled & sealed soft drink, juice, energy drink, ect; bottled water will be provided on the train. Gratuity to your server is to be extended individually, in cash, at the conclusion of your meal. Directly upon return to the station, we will board the coach for a quick shopping stop at Kellerhaus Candy serving ice cream, homemade chocolates, candies and knicknacks. As always, we will make a comfort rest stop enroute to NH.

Join Foxy Travel as we head to Salem, MA Saturday, October 17th for their Annual Haunted Happenings…
a month-long celebration filled with ghosts, goblins, ghouls and of course… witches! The day is yours to explore the historic waterfront!Join a guided walking tour, visit the wax museum, shop at the unique stores, dine at one of the many restaurants, visit a haunted house, have your tarot cards read, stroll through the cemetery, take part in a murder mystery and more! Guests will have approx 5 hours of free time in Salem, estimated 11am – 4:30pm. Be sure to wear proper footwear and dress accordingly for New England October weather, this trip is Rain or Shine! We highly suggest visiting www.hauntedhappenings.org to make any necessary advanced reservations and stay up to date on all things Salem in 2026.

- Newport Playhouse

This tour has been canceled due to a last minute play change at the Newport Playhouse. We sincerely apologize!
We are in the process of contacting all guests registered for the 10/18 trip. Guests have the option of a full refund, gift certificate, or transfer to a different tour.
The Newport Playhouse has recently announced it is closing its doors this December. Consider booking our 11/22 Newport Playhouse trip for one last visit to the NPH! The 11/22 play has also been changed and will now be a ‘Mystery’ play as we cannot confidently state what the play will be.
Guests booked on 11/22 will be receiving the same option due to that play changing as well.

- Fireplace Feast & Quabbin Reservoir Tour

The day will begin with a one-hour guided bus tour that delves into the intriguing history of the Quabbin Reservoir’s inception during the Depression Era. Learn how this once-controversial project became a pristine, protected area for wildlife and recreation, while also serving as a vital water supply for Boston and surrounding communities. Guests should extend a cash gratuity to the step on guide at the completion of the tour.
After the tour, we will be greeted by the Innkeepers at the Salem Cross Inn and welcomed into their beautifully restored 1700s colonial home for the Original Fireplace Feast! Relax and enjoy the antique charm as your prime rib is roasted over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs on the only known authentic Roasting Jack still operating in America. Fireplace Feast consists of cheese & crackers, chowder, fire roasted prime rib of beef, seasonal vegetables, rolls and butter, deep dish apple pie and fresh whipped cream. There are no meal substitutions. Beverages are to be purchased and tipped on own.
On our way home, we will make a brief stop at Breezelands Orchards’ farmstand to shop for locally grown produce, baked goods, and specialty items to take home.
