Join Foxy Travel aboard Essex Rail & Sail, Friday August 6th, 2027!
Enjoy a 3-course lunch aboard restored 1920’s Pullman Diners as part of a 3.5 hour lunch, train and riverboat sightseeing excursion! Your day begins by boarding the dining car at the historic Essex Station where your meal will be prepared onboard. Travel aboard the train along the Lower Connecticut River Valley while you finish your meal. At Deep River Landing you will transfer to the Becky Thatcher Riverboat for a cruise on the Connecticut River – bursting with lush scenery and historic sights such as Gillette Castle. You will finish your journey riding in Coach Passenger Cars aboard the train back to Essex Station.

Join Foxy Travel on Saturday, August 14th, 2027 or a day on Block Island!
Block Island offers the vacationer what does not seem possible anymore – simple relaxation in a bucolic setting! We will take the 9:30 am ferry from Point Judith, RI and arrive in Block Island at approx 10:30 am. From there, you have 6 hours on own to enjoy a quintessential island experience! Go shopping downtown, try out one of their many beaches, eat lunch seaside, walk the boardwalk, rent a moped or bicycle, visit a lighthouse or the bird sanctuary, see the clay cliffs of Mohegan Bluffs…the possibilities are endless and completely up to you! We will depart Block Island on the 5:00 pm ferry, docking at 6:00 pm, and immediately board the coach to return home. With all this small island has to offer, it’s no wonder that the Nature Conservancy has designated Block Island “One of the 12 last great places in the Western Hemisphere”.
Please note, we highly recommend planning your day and making any necessary reservations for tours in advance to best enjoy your time on the island! This tour is rain or shine. Depending on your plans for the day, this tour could involve a lot of walking.

Join Foxy Travel on Saturday, August 21st and set sail aboard the ‘Monhegan’ on a 3 hour sightseeing cruise on the Cape Cod Canal!
The cruise features live commentary pointing out fascinating history and points of interest including the MA Maritime Academy, Sagamore Bridge, Bourne Bridge, Vertical Lift RR Bridge, Gray Gable, Herring Run, Scusset Beach Fish Pier and Cape Cod Bay, to name just a few. Snack & Bar service is available on board, as well as restrooms, indoor and outdoor seating and two decks to view the sights from. The boat sets sail in rain or shine, approx 10am-1pm. Next up, lunch!
One of New England’s most famous seafood spot’s: Lobster Pot! It all started in 1908 when a fisherman came to America to fish the waters off New England, and continues today 3 generations later, where you will see his grandsons and their families serving the freshest and best local seafood, directly from local fisherman. This is a classic seafood spot (think George’s SurfnTurf or Pirates Cove) with menu items ranging from Chowder, Seafood Plates, Chicken Tender/Burger Baskets, Lobster Rolls, etc. at market prices. Join Foxy Travel at St. Anthony’s Feast in the North End, Boston on Sunday, August 29th, 2027! The 108th Annual Saint Anthony’s Feast & The Feast of Saint Lucia
Each year the people of the North End invite you to celebrate with them as they honor their patrons Saint Anthony and Saint Lucy with colorful parades, religious services, strolling singers, live entertainment and of course, an abundance of great Italian food!
Join Foxy on Sunday, August 29th and experience the “Feast of All Feasts” in person, the largest Italian Religious Festival in New England! With over 100 vendors, you will find some of the best street foods in New England, as well as souvenir and apparel vendors. If you prefer a sit-down option for dining during the feast, options are plentiful throughout all of the North End. This final day of the festival features the Grand Procession of St. Anthony, in which 8 people will carry the statue of Saint Anthony for 10 straight hours throughout the streets of the North End, a highlight of every Feast weekend!
Guests will walk to/from the festival and explore the North End on own. The festival vendors encompass Endicott, Thacher and North Margin Streets. Not all vendors accept cards for payment; having a mix of cash and card is advised. The festival is rain or shine. Expect large volumes of people.

Join Foxy Travel for 3 days & 2 nights at Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George, NY! Friday, September 17th – Sunday, September 19th, 2027
This lakeside hotel is located downtown, within walking distance to many shops, eateries and attractions. Accommodations include 1 King or 2 Double beds, daily buffet breakfast, porterage, indoor pool, outdoor olympic pool, sauna & spa, two restaurants, one bar, a candy & ice cream shop, outdoor firepits and lobby coffee bar. Friday includes a buffet lunch at The Golden Corral, a scenic drive up Prospect Mountain with photo opportunities, hotel check-in, and time on own to explore downtown Lake George. Purchase dinner at one of the hotel restaurants or anywhere nearby. Saturday will provide 3 shuttle opportunities to the Lake George Balloon Festival; early morning, afternoon and late night! Go once, or attend all three, it’s up to you! At the festival, view up to 80 balloons take flight (weather permitting), along with multiple food vendors, a large craft fair, musical performances, and family friendly activities. It is recommended by the festival to wear proper footwear to walk the uneven terrain and bring a chair or blanket for sitting. While not at the festival, enjoy the amenities at the hotel or explore downtown Lake George. Breakfast is included at the hotel; lunch & dinner are to be purchased at places of your choosing – the festival, downtown or hotel. After included breakfast Sunday, check out from the hotel and board the Lac Du Saint Sacrament for a scenic two hour buffet luncheon cruise on Lake George!
